Visit by the 2024 IBIS class of the University of Montpellier

Yesterday, the Alès site in the Gard department of France opened its doors to the 2024 IBIS class of the University of Montpellier. Here are a few pictures memorialising their visit.
22 students from the Master’s in Therapeutic Engineering and Bioproduction in Health Biotechnology were welcomed by our teams at the LFB Biomanufacturing site in Alès, which manufactures clinical and commercial batches of recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies.
After a presentation of the company by David BALBUENA from Business Development, the group visited the process development laboratories as well as the manufacturing units alongside Denis HOGUET, from Innovation & Process Development, Caroline CAUDERLIER and David GUERIT from Analytical Development and Quality Control, Emilie HENNO and Karine VERKINDERE from GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) Production.
The objectives of this meeting were to: introduce the students and teachers to the activities of LFB, a player in the pharmaceutical industry in the Occitanie region, present the different professions and career prospects, and to create a link between the school and the company.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the participants for their interest and all their questions, to professors Anne Lajoix and Estelle Grousseau from the University of Montpellier and also to our LFB guides who led the day’s events and shared their passion.
