The LFB BIOMANUFACTURING site in the Gard department of France opened its doors on Monday, the 16th of October to first-year students in the Biotechnology BTS programme at Albert Camus High School in Nîmes.

Our teams at the LFB BIOMANUFACTURING site in Alès, which manufactures clinical and commercial batches of recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies, welcomed 25 students and their teachers. After a presentation of the company by Herbert GUEDEGBE, Managing Director, the group visited both development laboratories and manufacturing units alongside Denis HOGUET, from Process Development & Innovation, David GUERIT and Stéphanie PEREZ, from Analytical Development and Quality Control, Emilie HENNO and Karine VERKINDERE from GMP Production (Good Manufacturing Practice), David BALBUENA from Business Development and Thibault NAMAN from Human Resources.

The objectives of this meeting were to:

Introduce students and their teachers to activities performed at the Alès site, a major player in the pharmaceutical industry in the Occitanie region,
Present the different professions and career prospects at LFB
Strengthen the link between the school and the company.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the participants for their interest and all their questions, to the teachers of Albert Camus High School in Nîmes, Stéphanie GINJIBRE, Anne Pascale MONTEIL, Manon GERARD-VINCENT and Maxime DAUPHIN, and also to our LFB guides who led the day and shared their passion.
